A defiant Ed Miliband has vowed to "fight and win this election", amid rumours of discontent over his leadership of Labour.
It came after two of the most senior members of his shadow cabinet strenuously denied making a secret pact in the event of their leader stepping down.
Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper and shadow health secretary Andy Burnham were reported by The Times newspaper to have struck a "non-aggression pact".
Mr Miliband wrote on Facebook that he would be spending the next six months before the election fighting "street by street, house by house, taking our case to the people on every issue".
Sky News has been told the post was planned in advance and not issued in response to the reports over Mr Miliband's leadership.

In the message Mr Miliband said: "That is what my shadow cabinet and our MPs will be doing. That is what our councillors, party members and activists will be doing - because that is what they do week in and week out - and they know that is how we win.
"We are in the fight for the future of our country and in the General Election Labour will show we are equal to the challenges of the time in which we live."
One of the criticisms of Mr Miliband's leadership by some has been a perceived lack of vision for the country, but in his post Mr Miliband rejected this suggestion.
"Labour's vision is built on the big changes I have set out: tackling the cost-of-living crisis, transforming the prospects for the next generation, rebuilding our NHS, with stable economic foundations and a fair approach to immigration.
"I know we can beat all our opponents at the next election because of our Labour values, our passion and our plan for government."
Mr Miliband ended his message with a rallying cry to the party faithful: "We have six months to go out and show the difference Labour's plan will make. Together, that is what we will do."
