A British man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was killed while out jogging in France.
Robert Plant, 32, was being held in Montpellier after the badly beaten body of Jouda Zammit was found in brambles earlier this week, police said.
A search was launched after the mother-of-three failed to collect her three-year-old daughter from school in Nimes in the country's south.
Plant was arrested after police carried out house-to-house enquiries.
Police sniffer dogs later discovered her body, and police believe she was sexually assaulted while out jogging, repeatedly hit around the face, and so brutally stabbed she was unrecognisable.
Earlier, police said they were confident they have a DNA match with the suspect.
