A police sniper almost opened fire on an armed man seen approaching Brazil's president Dilma Rousseff at the World Cup.
The incident happened as Ms Rousseff was watching the opening match alongside Fifa president Sepp Blatter and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in Sao Paulo.
The suspect was wearing a police uniform and the sniper feared he was in disguise and requested permission to shoot him, according to a report.

He was told to hold off and minutes later the suspect was identified as an officer who was said to be investigating a suspected bomb threat.
The man quickly left the area, the Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper said.
More than 60,000 spectators had packed the Itaquerao Stadium to watch the game between Brazil and Croatia.
The state security secretariat confirmed the June 12 incident.
It said in a statement: "There was a communications error that was quickly fixed".
The secretariat did not reveal further details.
Brazil won the opening match of the tournament 3-1.
